Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

The Sika Product Sustainability approach aims to analyse Case Studies throughout the whole life cycle of the products and systems, considering their life expectancy. This includes all life cycle stages from raw material extraction to production, use and final disposal.

The main focus is to evaluate additional benefits for the customer with regard to the megatrends, such as energy gains, carbon savings or water reduction. The evaluation of the case studies in different Application Fields is based on actual projects worldwide. For this, the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology is used, following international standards (ISO 14040 series, EN 15084).
