Hydroponic Greenhouse in Perú

Sika Perú S.A. has installed a greenhouse on its facilities in Lurin. This space used to be a garden, now it's a space of 36 m2 with more than 150 different kind of hydroponic crops. 30 employees from production and others 30 more from administration and sales are working actively on the project. The objective is to use the hydroponic greenhouse for educational purposes and to get involved communities in terms of a better understanding of water as a valuable resource.

Building Happiness, Portugal

Sika Portugal combined a new product launch with the free refurbishment of a building of a children's home. Employees volunteered at the refurbishment initiative and at the organisation of a so-called “Building Happiness” day.  


Volunteers waterproof the roof of a public nursery school

A public nursery school in greece faced problems with infiltrating water from the roof of the building. Supported by local agents of Graco, world leader in fluid handling systems, Kalivis SA and Sika Hellas SA volunteered to apply the complete Sikalastic 841ST polyurea system on the 230 m2 nursery school roof. The job was completed in less than two days including all on-site preparation work.

Switzerland - Corporate Volunteering Day EPQS

Sika builds trust and creates value for customers, community and society: On June 26, 2015, 37 employees from the EPQS (Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Sustainability) department of from Sika Services, Switzerland, hold their first Corporate Volunteering Day. With the support of the Philias Foundation Sika contacted four different organizations in order to support them. After the event, the team exchanges impressions and thoughts.


Operation Smile

Operation Smile Vietnam (OSV) and Operation Smile Thailand (OST) are part of Operation Smile International dedicated to providing free treatment to children and adults suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates. Sika Vietnam has joined Operation Smile Vietnam to heal children’s smiles and bring them new lives and a new future.

Operation Smile Thailand has treated over 7,000 children with an average of 10 surgical missions per year in most rural areas as well as medical missions to neighboring countries, Laos and Myanmar.

Sika supports schools in Myanmar

The goal of Sika's support of the non-profit organisation is to help school children in selected schools in Myanmar obtain an improved learning environment, thus receive a better education due to intact school infrastructure, availability of required school furniture, access to teaching materials and additional educational facilities.

With the support of Sika individual schools and villages in the Irrawaday delta and in the region around Yangon are supported. Sika employees are volunteering during visits.
