  • Sika® Reemat premium

Sika Reemat Premium is a glass fibre reinforcement matting for use in a number of coating systems to provide increased strength and durability. The randomly orientated fibres within the mat give maximum multidirectional tensile strength to the membranes whilst allowing them to remain highly elastomeric. It may be used for total or partial reinforcement and can be easily moulded around protrusions, joints, corners and other surface details.

Reemat Premium is a heavy duty grade, with a feathered edge to one side.

    Use

For use in Decothane systems including Omega 15, Gamma 20, Delta 25, Root Resistant (for inverted roofs) and Balcons.

    • For new construction and refurbishment projects
    • For roofs with many details and complex geometry even when accessibility is limited

    Characteristics and Advantages

    • Easy and quick application of surface and details
    • Adapts to all different shapes and profiles on the substrate surface
    • Ensures the correct thickness of the base coat
    • Enhance the crack-bridging properties of the base coat

  • Filtration Layer

Sika Liquid Plastics’ Filtration Layer is a thermally bonded non-woven fabric made from fibres of polypropylene and polyethylene, without any chemical binders.

    Use

When used on inverted roof construction, the filtration layer will:

    • Act as a filter against fines from the ballast and airborne dust particles that can migrate and cause blockages between joints in the insulation
    • Protect the Insulation – without the filtration layer, angular aggregate can damage the insulation boards.

    Characteristics and Advantages

    • High percentage of open area in its construction; it is therefore highly permeable to water and vapour
    • Lightweight and easy to handle; yet tough enough to resist damage during installation and use

  • Min fx Separation Layer

Sika Liquid Plastics’ Min fx Separation Layer is a spun bonded polyethylene geotextile.

    Use

    • Min fx Separation Layer replaces the usual separating layer laid between the inverted roof insulation and ballast.
    • Rainwater is prevented from reaching the waterproofing layer, thereby almost completely eliminating the rainwater cooling effect. For detailed calculations in accordance with Annex D to BS EN ISO 6946:1997, please consult Liquid Plastics Technical Services.

    Characteristics and Advantages

    • High resistance to the passage of liquid water
    • Low vapour resistance allows water to evaporate.
