Long-term protection of a reinforced concrete building façade will not be achieved in most cases of deterioration by patch repair alone. Patch repair will at best provide a “band-aid” with future repairs being required most probably in adjacent areas and at a higher future cost. It is therefore important that, in addition to the repair of visibly damaged areas, a protective system be applied to all areas as part of the future repair and maintenance strategy.

Sikagard® 550 W Elastic

Sikagard®-550 W Elastic is a one component, plasto-elastic coating based on UV-curing acrylic dispersion with excellent crack-bridging properties even at temperatures below 0°C. Sikagard®-550 W Elastic complies with the requirements of EN 1504-2 as protective coating.

Uses

Sikagard®-550 W Elastic is used for protection and enhancement of concrete structures (normal and lightweight concrete), especially exposed outdoor concrete surfaces with a risk of cracking.

Sikagard®-550 W Elastic is used with concrete repair works as an elastic protective coating on Sika® smoothing mortar (refer to product/system data sheet), fibre cement and overcoating of existing soundly adhering coatings

Sikagard® 545 W Elastofill®

Sikagard-545 W Elastofill is an elastic acrylic copolymer dispersion intermediate.

Uses

Sikagard-545 W Elastofill is designed as a crack-bridging intermediate coat in combination with Sikagard-550 W Elastic.

Sikagard®-545 W Elastofill as a filler coat closes pores, cavities and blowholes,trowel applied re-profiling mortar.

Sikagard®-550 W Elastic as a coloured top coat protects and embellishes.

Sikagard® crack bridging system is used for protection and enhancement of concrete structures (normal and lightweight concrete), especially outdoor exposed concrete surfaces with a high risk of cracking.

Sikagard® 680 S

Sikagard®-680 S is a one part solvent containing coating, based on methacrylic resins resistant to weathering, alkalis and ageing. It is available in clear and coloured grades for use on mineral substrates including concrete and other cementitious surfaces.

Sikagard®-680 S protects concrete against aggressive atmospheric influences and promotes a self-cleaning effect on the treated surfaces. It does not adversely influence the characteristic texture of the concrete.

Sikagard®-680 S complies with the requirements of EN 1504-2 as protective coating.

Uses

Sikagard®-680 S is used for protection and enhancement of concrete and other cementitious materials on building and infrastructures elements.

Sikagard®-680 S clear glaze is a colourless material drying to a glossy coat, suitable as refresher and protective coating for exposed aggregate concrete.

Sikagard®-680 S top coat is a top coating, drying to a mat finish, available in a large number of decorative standard and almost unlimited special colour shades.
