Sika joins expert panel for Architecture Today sustainability webinar

The construction industry is rightly concerned with ways to create a regenerative built environment that considers the long-term impact of architecture on the planet.

To explore this issue in more depth, Sika has partnered with Architecture Today to host a webinar on Wednesday 20 July 2022 discussing ways to apply circular economy principles to achieve net zero.

From 10am-11.30am, Richard Aldred, Sika UK’s Head of Technical Innovation and Compliance, will join a panel of industry experts to discuss Cradle-to-Cradle principles, with a particular emphasis on how practitioners can create sustainable specifications to understand the whole-life cost of buildings and materials.

The panel of expert speakers comprises:

Richard Aldred, head of technical innovation and compliance, Sika UK

David Cheshire, director, AECOM

Lucy Bagshaw, associate director, tp bennett

Dominik Campanella, co-founder, Concular

Tom Webster, director, Webb Yates

Sika is well placed to comment, since Sika’s Sarnafil Advanced Technology roofing membrane has been launched as the first and only single-ply membrane to meet the strict requirements of a Cradle-to-Cradle Silver Certification.

Achieving a Gold rating in the sustainability categories of Material Reutilisation and  Social Fairness, and a Silver rating overall, Sika’s Sarnafil Advanced Technology membrane is at the forefront of the market for sustainable roofing products.

The webinar promises thought-provoking discussion for conscientious practitioners.
