Responsibilities & Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Specialist to join our Maintenance team at our SikaFiber plant in Chattanooga, TN. This role involves advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electrical systems, PLCs, variable speed drives, and control equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Yaskawa, etc.).
  • Perform and lead preventive and condition-based maintenance programs focused on minimizing downtime and improving reliability.
  • Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation.
  • Install, maintain, and operate electrical/electronic systems while ensuring compliance with NEC, OSHA, and NFPA70E standards.
  • Collaborate with and mentor maintenance team members, providing guidance on electrical best practices and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to support production goals.

Preferred Skills

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in industrial electrical/electronics.
  • 3+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial automation, and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work any shift, be on call, and adhere to all PPE and safety standards.
