EVERBUILD® B2 Handheld Fire Foam

Fire rated, hand held, one part polyurethane foam.

EVERBUILD® B2 Handheld Fire Foam is a quick setting one part polyurethane foam with fire resistance properties. The foam expands on application 1.5 - 2 times its original volume and meets the requirements of DIN 4102 Part 1 for Construction Materials and EN1366-2. Fire rated up to 2 hours in certain joint configurations. Once cured, the foam can be cut, sawn or plastered over after only one hour providing the working temperatures (can and surfaces) are between +5 oC to +25 oC, ideally 20 oC.

  • High degree of fire rating: slows down the passage of flames and smoke in comparison to standard B3 grades.
  • Quick setting - can be cut, sawn or plastered in 1 hour.
  • Economical in use - expands up to 50 times its can volume.
  • Fills irregular and broad gaps where most conventional fillers would fail.
  • Possesses insulating and sound deadening properties.

APPROVALS / STANDARDS

Fire rated up to 2 hours in certain joint configurations as on testing to EN1366-4. Copies of the independent test certificate, Warrington fire report is available on request.

Shelf Life

12 months in original containers at stated storage temperatures.

Storage Conditions

Store upright between 20 oC and 25 oC Pressurized container. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above 50 oC. Do not pierce or burn the can even after use.  Store as flammable liquid.

Note: Elevated temperatures will reduce shelf life dramatically.

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES.

Shake can well before use (about 20 times).

Carefully fix nozzle. Do not overtighten or force.

ALWAYS USE CAN UPSIDE DOWN.

Only partially fill cavities, as the foam will expand to fill the remaining space. Any excess foam can be removed whilst still wet with Everbuild Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner. Cured foam must be removed mechanically. Always remove nozzle from can and clean immediately after use with Everbuild Dual Purpose Foam Cleaner. When used for fixing doorframes, supports must be used until the foam is fully cured. In fire rated application always cap with Firemate / Fire Sealant 300.

Please note:

  • When transported in cars, keep in boot, out of direct sunlight.
  • When removing cured foam from skin, take care not to damage with abrasives.
 

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound and free from dust and loose particles.  Moisten surfaces to be sealed with water to assist the curing process.

MIXING

Shake can well before use (about 20 times)

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Any excess foam can be removed whilst still wet with EVERBUILD® DUAL PURPOSE FOAM CLEANER.  Cured foam must be removed mechanically.  Always remove nozzle from can and clean immediately after use with EVERBUILD® DUAL PURPOSE FOAM CLEANER.  STORE CANS IN UPRIGHT POSITION.

IMPORTANT – Re-use is only possible by cleaning the nozzle and valve tip with EVERBUILD® DUAL PURPOSE FOAM CLEANER before the foam has cured. Do not push any object into the valve as the contents may explode.
