Feb® Febmix Admix® SW

Mortar plasticiser for brick and block laying.

Feb® Febmix Admix® SW is an air entraining liquid plasticising admixture designed specifically to cope with the different qualities of sand, cement and water found in South Wales and the West Country.

Usage

Feb® Febmix Admix® SW forms very stable air bubbles in mortar mixes. This improves the workability of mortar, giving it a “buttery” consistency and helps prevent shrinkage, cracking, crazing and mild frost damage during the curing process, as well as providing long term resistance to freeze/thaw cycles. Feb® Febmix Admix® SW replaces lime in the mix and hence reduces the chance of efflorescence (salt formation).

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

 

In all cases, add to mix or to gauging water at an addition rate of 125 ml to 250 ml per 50 kg cement, depending on the degree of plasticising/entrainment required. Note: remember to reduce required quantity of water accordingly. One litre of Feb® Febmix Admix® SW added to a 200 L drum of gauging water will be sufficient for gauging approx. 4 x 50 kg cement for mortar or render mixes.
