Sikafloor®-245 Level Deep Fill Ultra

Thick bed levelling and resurfacing compound

Sikafloor®-245 Level Deep Fill Ultra is a 1-part, thick bed, cement-based smoothing and resurfacing compound for levelling out very uneven floors and screeds up to a depth of 50 mm in one coat. It is typically used for levelling floors prior to laying ceramic and thermoplastic tiles, lino, wood block flooring or carpet. When mixed as directed, the compound provides a free flowing/trowelable mix.

Usage

  • Levelling out very uneven floors prior to laying ceramic and thermoplastic tiles, lino, wood block flooring or carpet.
  • For covering Sand/cement screeds, Quarry tiles and terrazzo.
  • For covering existing, asphalt and tiling.
  • Suitable for underfloor heating applications beneath heating cables/pipes or on top of heated screeds.
  • Suitable for internal and external use.

Storage Conditions

This product must be stored in unopened bags, clear of the ground in cool, dry conditions and protected from excessive draught (between +5 ˚C and +35 ˚C). The use of this product after the end of the declared storage period may increase the risk of an allergic reaction.

Mixing Ratio

25 kg powder to 4.5 L clean water.

Layer Thickness

3 mm to 50 mm.

10 mm to 60 mm mixed with aggregates.

Substrate Temperature

Ensure floor temperature is >5 °C

Pot Life

40 minutes at 20 °C (substrate and air).

Time for covering

50 mm in 4 hours approximately for ceramic coverings on concrete and cementitious screeds.

Up to 1 day for 10 mm on other substrates.

Application steps

MIXING

Unfilled (3 mm to 50 mm thick)

Mix Sikafloor®-245 Level Deep Fill Ultra with clean water only.

  • Slowly add 25 kg powder to 4.5 L water. Mix in a suitable clean container using a mechanical mixer with a spiral mixing paddle at slow speed until fully mixed and a smooth consistency achieved.
  • If the product starts to stiffen or set, DO NOT try to remix or add extra water.

Filled (10 to 60 mm thick)

  • Add 1 part of clean, dry aggregate to 1 part Sikafloor®-245 Level Deep Fill Ultra. The sand should be added after mixing powder with water. It is advisable to reduce the amount of mixing water before adding sand, then top up with water to achieve the correct consistency.
  • NOTE: Flow characteristics will be affected by addition of the sand. 
  • If the product starts to stiffen or set, DO NOT try to remix or add extra water.

APPLICATION

  • Sikafloor®-245 Level Deep Fill Ultra can be applied from a maximum thickness of 50 mm (60 mm when filled) down to 3 mm.

  • Pour the mixed product onto the floor and spread evenly with a steel trowel to form a thin, tight scrape coat within working time.

  • Immediately add further quantities of mixed product to give the desired thickness.

  • Trowel marks should flow out of the product to leave a smooth finish (if not, trowel again when the surface is still damp but firm to the touch).

  • If required use a spiked roller, within working time, on unfilled product to provide a more uniform surface appearance.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean tools in water after use. Wash hands immediately after using this product.
