RESIBLOCK BLOCK PAVING SEALER

SUPERIOR SOLVENTED PAVING SEALER

RESIBLOCK BLOCK PAVING SEALER is a urethane based low viscosity prepolymer paving sealer and jointing sand stabiliser of exceptional effectiveness. Its curing comes about by solvent evaporation, polymerisation being affected by atmospheric moisture. It incorporates a completely unique moisture curing system eliminating the problems common to conventional water based and solvent acrylic systems. Its function is to bind the particles of sand and protect the paver face from oil and water infiltration.

  • Two coat system - fast cure, area can be used fully within 24 hours.
  • Can be applied all year round.
  • Allows pavement to retain its normal flexural qualities.
  • Easy application by RESIBLOCK Resi-rollers.
  • Proven to withstand temperatures in excess of 200 °C.
  • High degree of resistance to commercial chemicals.
  • Lifespan up to 5 years.
  • Maintains performance life of pavement.
  • Resists weed and grass growth in the joints.
  • Oleophobic and hydrophobic properties.
  • Greatly exceeds ASTM D 2370 (elongation test) - fully elastomeric.

Usage

Can be applied in small/medium car parks, patios, paved gardens, private roads & driveways.  Ideal for use with concrete block paving (CBP) & clay pavers.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Make sure the surface and jointing sand are thoroughly dry and free from dirt.
Ensure that RESIBLOCK BLOCK PAVING SEALER natural matt is only applied when there is no risk of rain within the next 24 hours.

Ensure that RESIBLOCK BLOCK PAVING SEALER gloss is only applied when there is no risk of rain within the next 8 hours.
Do not apply in extremes of temperature (below +3 °C or above +30 °C).
Ensure paving is thoroughly clean and that no jointing sand remains in the chamfers of the pavers.

APPLICATION

RESIBLOCK BLOCK PAVING SEALER natural matt

Apply liberally with a Resi-roller leave a minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 24 hours between the first and second coats 

RESIBLOCK BLOCK PAVING SEALER gloss

Apply to surface using a watering can (with the rose) and remove all surplus with the SQUEEGEE. A minimum of 3 hours and a maximum of 24 hours between the first and second coats. Two coats are recommended to prevent fuel/water infiltration.

One coat only on clay pavers.

Accurate application rates are critical to ensure full joint stabilisation (typically first coat: 1 L/3 m² and second coat: 1 L/6 m²).

Avoid walking on the sealed area for 3 hours after application and do not drive motor vehicles on the surface for 24 hours.

Always wear protective gloves and goggles. No smoking. Weak a mask when working in confined areas. Please refer to current SDS.
 

CLEANING OF TOOLS

All uncured sealant and tools should be cleaned immediately using RESICLEAN.
