Treatment to eridicate woodworm and protect against re-infestation

Sika® Woodworm Killer protects timber against all life stages of wood-boring insects, specifically woodworm. Sika® Woodworm Killer is a low-solvent, low-odour solution based on Micro-fine active technology with added insecticide to penetrate deep into the wood to actively kill and protect against re-infestation. As a result Sika® Woodworm Killer out-performs traditional solvented products. For interior use only on a variety of applications including furniture, window and door frames, floorboards, joists etc.

Usage

Sika® Woodworm Killer can be used on most internal furniture, woodwork and joinery such as doors, window frames, roof timbers, floorboards, joists, rafters, etc. It can be overpainted, stained, varnished or polished when dry if required.

Shelf Life

Use within 2 years of manufacture.

Storage Conditions

Store at moderate (5°C - 30°C) temperatures in original containers away from children.

Waiting Time / Overcoating

Drying time is approximately 1 hour depending on temperature.
Consumption

Consumption

Apply 2 coats at a rate of 1 litre of product per 3 - 4m2 of surface.

Dip end grains for a minimum of 3 minutes or flood thoroughly where dipping is not possible.
Application steps

APPLICATION

Read statutory conditions relating to use prior to application.

Shake well before use. Apply by brush, spray or dipping. Apply a minimum of two coats if brushing or spraying. The second coat should be applied after the first coat has soaked in but before it is dry. Pay particular attention to thoroughly soaking the end grain. Where possible, dip or flood the end grains of the timber for maximum protection.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Remove as much product as possible from brush or spray and then clean with soapy water.
