EVERBUILD® KOS® FIRE CEMENT

Fire cement that is resistant to tempreatures up to 1250°C.

EVERBUILD® KOS® FIRE CEMENT is a ready mixed blend of thermo setting resins and temperature resistant inorganic fillers that cures when exposed to heat to give a seal that is resistant to temperatures up to 1250oC. Suitable for fixing/repairing fire backings etc.

  • Easy to apply by trowel. Excellent adhesion to fire bricks, blockwork, stone and clayware.
  • Temperature resistant up to 1250oC.
  • Suitable for domestic and industrial use.
  • Asbestos free.
Application Temp 5oC to 60oC Coverage 3 meters per kg (assume 15mm bead) depending on joint dimensions.

Shelf Life

12 months when stored according to the manufacturers directions.

Store between 5 and 25°C in original containers. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Application

Application steps

APPLICATION

Use straight from tub. Soften with a small amount of water if required. Work well into the joints. After applying, gradually increase heat over a 4 hour period. Make good any cracks which may form with fresh cement to form a smoke tight seal.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean tools in warm water and soap after use.
