Sika® Stixall® Ultra Crystal Clear

Extremely flexible sealant and adhesive with multiple certifications for interior and exterior use

Sika® Stixall® Ultra Crystal Clear is an extremely flexible high grab adhesive and sealant which passes multiple certifications. It is exceptionally strong, sticks to almost anything and even works underwater. Approved for use in food preparation areas according to EN 1186-13:2002. Certified for use in sanitary areas, and indoor and outdoor use, whilst also meeting the toughest emissions classification EC1PLUS. Once cured, it’s resistant to mould, temperature extremes, chemicals, petrol, UV radiation.

Usage

Excellent primerless adhesion to most surfaces, including metals, most plastics, glass, concrete, plaster, plasterboard, polyester, perspex, glass, wood, enamel, painted surfaces etc. For bonding in various interior and exterior applications:
  • As a high quality nail replacement adhesive, even to damp surfaces.
  • External and internal perimeter pointing around doors and windows.
  • Bonding mirrors to most common substrates.
  • Sealing vertical expansion joints.
  • Jointing cladding panels.
  • Bonding difficult materials such as plastic and metals.
  • Any application requiring high performance, durable bonding of joints.
  • Applications where resistance to chemical spillage is required.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

All surfaces must be clean and dust free.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Uncured product: Sika® Wonder Wipes or white spirit.
Cured product: mechanical removal.

FAQ

What is the curing time?

It skins over in approximately 30 minutes and cures at about 1.5 mm per 24 hours. 

What is the shelf life?

12 months from the date of manufacture when stored between +5 °C and +25 °C. 

Are there any limitations?

Do not use on polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE, or in permanent water immersion. Avoid use with bitumen or structural glazing systems. 

Can it be painted over?

It is overpaintable with some paints, but compatibility should be tested first. 

Can it be applied on wet surfaces?

Yes, it can be applied to damp or wet surfaces and remains totally waterproof and weatherproof.

Can Sika® Stixall® Ultra Crystal Clear be used as a sealant as well as an adhesive?

Yes. Sika® Stixall® Ultra Crystal Clear is designed for dual use as both a high‑performance adhesive and a flexible sealant. In sealant applications, it is suitable for interior and exterior joints, including façade and sanitary uses, in accordance with EN 15651 classifications. 

How should it be applied to be used as an adhesive?

Apply using a standard sealant gun, in beads spaced at 30-40 mm centres. Provide temporary support for heavy items until cured. 

Is Sika® Stixall® Ultra Crystal Clear certified?

Yes, it is UKCA and CE marked, compliant with EN15651 standards for façade and sanitary use, EMICODE EC1PLUS, and meets LEED and BREEAM requirements. It has also been approved for use in Food Preparation areas. 

Is it resistant to temperature extremes?

Yes, it withstands temperatures from -40 °C to +70 °C and is UV resistant.
