Sika® Deep Fill Rapid Repair Mortar

Rapid setting sand & cement

Sika® Deep Fill Rapid Repair Mortar is a specially formulated, cement-based mix containing fine sharp sand, designed for filling deep holes and voids from 25 mm to 150 mm in depth (1-6 inches). It is formulated to set hard in approx. 30 minutes and is ideal for patching deep repairs on walls and floors.

  • Easy mixing, just add water.
  • Fills from 25 mm to 150 mm in one application (for smaller holes < 25 mm use Sika® Rapid Repair Cement).

Usage

Suitable for making rapid repairs to a wide variety of masonry surfaces:
  • Repairs cracks and holes in concrete, stone and brick.
  • Suitable for patch repairs to steps, kerbstones, and window sills.
  • For use on internal and external walls and floors.
  • Weatherproof.
  • Seals and joints drains and pipes.
  • Bedding of sanitary ware (sinks, WCs, etc.).
  • Fills gaps around pipes and service penetrations.
  • Suitable for repairing pointing.
  • Sets railings, posts and street ironwork.
  • Resets bolts and brackets.
  • Suitable for virtually any application where a sand and cement mixture would be used.

Shelf Life

12 months from date of manufacture in original unopened bag. Any opened bag should be used within 1 month.

Storage Conditions

Store in cool dry conditions between +5 °C and +25 °C. Storage outside these parameters will significantly reduce shelf life.

Application

Application steps

APPLICATION

  • Always use clean, dry tools and add approximately 3-parts powder to 1-part clean, cold water by volume.
  • Mix quickly to form a smooth paste.
  • IMPORTANT: Do not mix more cement than can be used within 5–10 minutes.
  • Apply the mixture immediately with a trowel or filling knife, working it well into area.
  • Level with the surrounding surface, as the mixture will begin to set within 10 minutes.
  • Once the product begins to stiffen, do not use any remaining residue or add further water to the mix, as this will reduce its strength.
  • In warm conditions, cover with polythene to assist curing.
 

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools immediately with warm water before the repair mortar dries.
