Rapid setting repair cement

Sika® Waterproof Rapid Repair Cement is a cement-based mix, specifically formulated for repairs to structures subject to permanent water immersion. Designed to set hard in approx. 30 minutes, it is suitable for making rapid repairs to a wide range of masonry surfaces up to a depth of 25 mm.

Usage

  • Repairs cracks and holes in concrete, stone and brick structures.
  • Suitable for patch repairs to tanking and water-retaining structures.
  • Suitable for use on internal and external walls and floors.
  • Ideal for repairs to ponds and pools.
  • Patch repairs to steps in basements and other areas subject to damp conditions.
  • Suitable for bedding sanitary ware (sinks, WCs, etc.).
  • Seals and joints drains and pipes.
  • Fills gaps around pipes and service penetrations.

Chemical Base

Cement based with specialist additives.

Shelf Life

12 months from date of manufacture in original unopened bag. Any opened bag should be used within 1 month.

Storage Conditions

Store in cool dry conditions between +5 °C and +25 °C. Storage outside these parameters will significantly reduce shelf life.

 

Application

Application steps

APPLICATION

  • Always use clean, dry tools and add approximately 3-parts powder to 1-part clean, cold water by volume.
  • Mix quickly to form a smooth paste.
  • IMPORTANT: Do not mix more mortar than can be used within 5–10 minutes.
  • Apply the mixture immediately with a trowel or filling knife, working it well into the area.
  • Level with the surrounding surface as the mixture will begin to set within 10 minutes.
  • Once the product begins to stiffen, do not use any remaining residue or add further water to the mix, as this will reduce its strength.
  • Repairs to ponds and pools must be sealed with a suitable paint before refilling.  

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools immediately with warm water before the mortar dries.
