SikaBond® Contractors PVA

General purpose primer, sealer, adhesive and admixture.

SikaBond® Contractors PVA is a multi-purpose, water-based adhesive, primer, sealer, and mortar admixture. It adheres to most common building materials, excluding PVC and rubber, and is ideal for priming unsound surfaces before plastering or painting, enhancing cement mixtures and dust sealing on flaking paintwork and walls. SikaBond® Contractors PVA is an adhesive for use on wood, cork, textiles, plaster, concrete etc.

Usage

  • As a primer and sealer before plastering, painting or in tiling applications.
  • As a bonding agent for screeds and renders to difficult substrates.
  • As a general purpose adhesive for wood, cork, paper, textiles, concrete, ceramics, and most applications where at least one surface is porous.
  • As an admixture for mortar, screeds and renders.
  • As an internal filler when mixed with wood shavings, plaster etc.

Shelf Life

12 months from date of manufacture when stored according to manufacturer’s instructions in original, tightly closed containers.

Storage Conditions

Store in cool, dry conditions. Between +5 and +25 °C. Protect from frost. Storage outside these parameters will dramatically reduce shelf life.

Neat 1 litre per 6-12 m2.
Diluted 1:4: 1 litre per 30-60 m2.
The above figures will vary according to the degree of porosity and texture of the surface to which SikaBond® Contractors PVA is applied.

Application steps

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and any excess SikaBond® Contractors PVA with cold, clean water immediately after use.
