A permeable base and jointing compound allow water to drain away naturally through the joints and into the sub-base, preventing surface pooling and underlying waterdamage.

Indian sandstone is a porous material, which means it can easily absorb moisture. Without proper drainage, that moisture can cause a range of issues, from stains and algae growth to cracking and movement in the paving.

What Can Go Wrong Without a Permeable System?

1. Standing Water & Puddles

Trapped moisture freezes and expands during cold months, causing cracking and movement in your patio slabs. This can lead to expensive repairs down the line.
