How to Use SikaCeram®-621 FlowFix

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT
All you need is:
- A drill and spiral action mixer
- A mixing bucket
- A squeegee
- A sponge float
- A stiff brush
- A soft cloth
- A rubber mallet
- Spiril Level
- PPE: Safety boots, Gloves, Glassess
Preparation
Ensure the tiled area is fully set, stable, and secure.
Gaps/Joints: Joints should be between 3-10mm wide with a minimum depth of 15mm.
Clean the Substrate
Clean the substrate, removing dust, weeds, dirt, and organic growth.
Clear the joints of any material and pre-wet tiles, ensuring no standing water.
Step by Step Guide
Step 1: Mixing
Mix the contents of the bag with clean water as recommended, using a drill and spiralaction mixer.
Tip: Always add powder to water.
Mix for approximately 3 minutes until a smooth, lump-free flowable mortar is achieved.
Avoid overmixing or creating excessive air bubbles.
Tip: Do not mix more product than can be used within 20 minutes.
Step 2: Joint Filling
Pour SikaCeram®-621 FlowFix Jointing Compound into joints immediately after mixing.
Use a squeegee to work the compound across the tiled area, ensuring all joints are filled.
Add more product to joints as needed.
Step 3: Setting Time
Ensure the product has hardened sufficiently before cleaning.
Typically taking 30-60 minutes depending on site conditions.
Step 4: Cleaning
Remove product residue from the tiled surface using a sponge float with clean, freshwater.
For tough areas scrub with a stiff brush, washing away once the mortar has begun to cure.
Avoid brushing over joints.
Step 5: Polishing
Once the mortar has sufficiently set, polish the tiled area using a dry, soft cloth toremove any final residues.
Ensure no product residue is left on the tiled surface.
