Sika® Waterproofer & Protector

Ensure the substrate is dry and free from any dirt, algae, dust, debris or grease. Shake the container well before use. Saturate the surface from the bottom up, then brush over to avoid runs - ensure the entire surface is covered. Apply the second coat within 1 hour, while the first coat is still wet. Drying time is approx 1-2 hours, depending on the outside ambient air temperature.

It repels water from the surface and helps prevent damp build up, spalling and frost cracking. It also helps prevent algae and green growth taking hold, as well as discoloration on the façade caused by airborne pollution and the build up of water-based deposits.

It is suitable for most mineral surfaces; masonry, brickwork, stone, render, plaster, pebbledash, porous tile grout and pointing.

Sika® Waterproofer & Protector is a solvent-based water repellent for masonry walls. Its advanced formula penetrates deeply into the substate to create a breathable and long-lasting waterproof finish, with minimal impact on the surface appearance.

The formula is a clear liquid which penetrates up to a depth of 5 mm on porous substrates. It creates a hydrophobic barrier to repel water, rain, damp and frost - whilst its breathable properties enable any trapped internal moisture to escape. This protects the wall from water damage and its waterproofing properties also protects it from external pollution, which can cause discolouration.

No Sika® Waterproofer & Protector can be applied by brush, roller or low pressure spray.

When applied correctly, it provides a durable solution for many years, depending on the porosity of the substrate and environmental conditions.

Yes. The product creates a breathable barrier that allows trapped moisture  vapour to escape while stopping water and damp from getting in - preventing issues like peeling or blistering.

No. For best results, the surface must be completely dry before application. Do not apply when it is raining or when rain is imminent.

The product is a clear liquid but always test on a small inconspicuous area before applying to the whole area as some substrates may darken on the first coat.
