Cromar® 2-in-1 Overfascia Eaves Protector enhances the longevity and performance of your roofline with a high-quality overfascia protection board designed for both refurbishment and new build roofing projects. This essential roofing accessory offers reliable protection at the critical eaves area of your roof, ensuring water is directed into the gutter and helping to prevent costly timber rot and felt decay over time. Its robust design and easy installation make it a go-to choice for professionals and DIYers alike. The overfascia protection board is a dedicated roofing accessory installed at the eaves, sitting neatly on top of the fascia board. It acts as a supportive and protective layer beneath the roofing underlay or felt, guiding rainwater cleanly into the gutter and preventing it from ponding behind the fascia. This minimises the risk of moisture build-up and subsequent timber damage, which is a common cause of eaves deterioration.  

  • Provides ventilation equivalent to a continuous 10 mm opening (10,000 mm2 /m run).

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Use to ventilate pitched roofs, where the pitch of the roof is 15 degrees or more, and the roof void is attic or loft space.
  • Ensure each ventilator is fixed securely into the top of the fascia board using screws or nails through the fixing holes provided.  
  • Product is designed so that the roofing felt will be cut back flush with the edge of the fascia board, and not dressed out into the gutter.
  • Ventilation must be provided for the full length of the eaves and along both sides of the building to create a cross flow ventilation action.
