Store in cool, dry conditions away from sources of ignition, in tightly closed containers. Material which has been stored for several months will require extremely good stirring before use as a degree of separation may have taken place. Part containers should not be allowed to be contaminated by water.

Approximately 5 m² per litre per coat.

• Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust and debris. Existing bitumen coating should be allowed to weather for at least 10 days and preferably a few weeks before the application of Cromar® Aluminium Paint. Stir thoroughly before use.
• The appearance of a silver film on the surface of the paint after a brief period of stirring does not signify that the paint is thoroughly uniform. It is advisable to stir for several minutes to ensure complete dispersion.
• Apply by brush or spray. If brushed, do not apply too thickly as this could cause staining. Do not brush excessively as this could cause softening of the substrate.
• It is recommended that two coats of Cromar® Aluminium Paint are applied to the surface. Allow the first coat to dry completely before application of a second. The presence of moisture on the surface or rainfall before the Cromar® Aluminium Paint has dried can also cause staining.

Tools may be cleaned with white spirit. Minor spillages should be wiped off surfaces before the paint has dried. Major spillages should be mopped up immediately with an inert, absorbent material, such as sand, and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
