Cromar® Metal-Kote® Goosewing Grey

An oil-based, waterproof roof coating designed for protecting and re-coating metal roofs, including corroded surfaces.

Designed for coated and uncoated metal roofs such as steel, galvanised steel, aluminium, cast iron, copper, tin, lead, stainless steel, corrugated sheets and standing seam systems. Provides a waterproof seal and is suitable for use over surface rust without priming. 

  • Single-coat system – no primer required, even over rust.
  • Direct application onto surface rust with a watertight seal that inhibits further rust spread.
  • High adhesion even without priming.
  • Suitable for endlaps and overlaps.

Usage

  • Waterproofing and refurbishment of deteriorated or corroded metal roofs. 
  • Overcoating plastic-coated metal roofing panels, particularly where corrosion enters via unprotected edges. 
  • Suitable for industrial, commercial, agricultural, domestic and local authority buildings.

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Apply by brush or heavy-duty sprayer; ensure even application, particularly on corrugated sheeting.
  • Do not thin: mix thoroughly before use.
  • Surface preparation:
    • Power wash metal surfaces before coating.
    • Remove loose rust, debris, or poorly adhered existing coatings.
    • Tighten or replace loose fixings.
