Fire Retardant Roofing Top Coat 

The PRO GRP Fire Retardant Roofing Top Coat is a pre-accelerated, isophthalic acid based polyester roofing topcoat for use with the PRO GRP Resin.

Usage

For use as a necessary component for the PRO GRP liquid roof system as a solution where regulations specify a fire-retardant system.
The PRO GRP system is certified as BRoof (T4) for use on OSB in accordance with the procedures given in the standard EN 13501-5:2016.

Shelf Life

4 - 6 months when the storage conditions are followed correctly.

Storage Conditions

Store in tightly closed, original container in a cool (freezing conditions must be avoided), dry, well ventilated place away
from direct sunlight. The shelf life and properties of the topcoat can be adversely affected by incorrect storage conditions. Only open containers
immediately before use and carefully reseal after use.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

The PRO GRP Fire Retardant Topcoat is designed for use at ambient temperatures between +15 and +30 °C. Before use, gently agitate the topcoat to homogenise. Add 1.5 – 2.5 % (by weight) of the PRO GRP Hardener, a general purpose methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKP), to the topcoat for a sufficient cure. Care must be taken to avoid incorporating air into the topcoat when mixing. Apply the topcoat evenly across the roof surface with a target film thickness of 500-600 μm. Always check the wet film thickness and avoid any water contamination prior to full cure.
