Usage

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

  • Position the Secret Jointing Strip centrally over the joint between adjacent tiles or slates.
  • Ensure the lower end of the strip is correctly aligned to allow water to drain freely toward the eaves.
  • Hook the bottom end securely over the top edge of the underlying tile to create a continuous drainage channel.
  • Lay the tiles on each side so they overlap the strip evenly, ensuring the strip remains aligned.
  • Fix adjacent tiles in accordance with the tile manufacturer’s fixing schedule.
  • Continue installing additional strips as required, ensuring each piece is seated properly and not forced out of alignment.
  • Check that there are no gaps where wind-driven rain could penetrate at the tile interfaces.
  • After installation of each course, visually inspect to ensure the strip remains central and free from distortion
