Cromar® Simulated Lead Flashing Trim

Lead flashing alternative

Cromar® Simulated Lead Flashing Trim is a preformed lead simulation trim that is meant to be used as a replacement for lead flashing. Fitted as a flashing, it can be cut on site and made to measure and does not require a topcoat as it already has a waterproof coating. The flashing trim is inserted into a chase cut into the brickwork and bonded with a trim adhesive which eliminates the possibility of water ingress. The trim will slot into the brickwork itself, requiring a 25 mm chase to be cut between two brickwork courses for the return to set into.

Shelf Life

Physical plastic items have not had their shelf life determined due to longevity

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored properly in undamaged packaging, in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C.

Application steps

APPLICATION

Cut a chase into the brickwork mortar joint with a suitable angle grinder and insert the flashing trim into the chase after applying a continuous bead of trim adhesive to the rear side, this will bond the flashing trim to angle fillet preventing any possible water ingress. Press firmly into the chase, overlapping the angle fillet and point neatly with adhesive.

The trim will slot into the brickwork itself which means that you will need to cut a 25 mm chase between two brickwork courses for the return to set into.
