Cromar® Trowel Mastic

Cromar® Trowel Mastic is a heavy-bodied, fibre-reinforced bituminous mastic.

Designed for filling, sealing and waterproofing joints, cracks and splits in a wide range of roofing and building materials.
The product provides immediate resistance to water penetration after application, making it ideal for maintenance and remedial roofing works

Storage Conditions

  • Replace lid securely after use to maintain an airtight seal
  • Store in a dry area at temperatures between + 8°C and + 25°C.

Drying time

Drying time depends on weather conditions and film thickness. Heavy applications will result in extended drying times.

A typical coverage rate for a 2 mm thickness is 2 m² per Litre
Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

In order to assist application, tools can be lubricated with white spirit or paraffin. Apply Cromar® Trowel Mastic by trowel or putty knife, forcing material into cracks and joints and smoothing out on either side. Cracks or joints of more than 3 mm should be reinforced with glass fibre scrim and covered with a second application of mastic.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

All tools should be cleaned immediately after use with white spirit. Hardened material can be removed by soaking in white spirit.
