Leadax Original Flashing

Leadax Original - PVB lead free flashing

Leadax Original produced from recycled polyvinyl butyral (PVB); the safety film in laminated glass such as car windows. Unlike traditional lead, it contains no heavy metals and has no negative effects on health or the environment (can be recycled).

Storage Conditions

Leadax Original should be stored in a ventilated area, away from frost, humidity and at temperatures - 5 to + 30 °C. However, prior to use, the product must acclimatise to minimum processing temperature of + 5 °C.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Ensure the surface is dry and free of dust and grease.

APPLICATION

Use Leadax scissors to cut to size and a Leadax roller to mould the product. The temperature needs to be above + 5 °C. Release the liner after after pre-shaping by hand and roller.

Any overlap should be 80 mm making sure the area of Leadax Original to be covered is free from dust and grease. Connections should be sealed with Leadax sealant. Remove the protective foil within 30 days.
