Hybrid polyurea

Part A - 12 months from date of production

Part B - 24 months from date of production

The Product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between 0 °C and +25 °C. Always refer to packaging.

Part A:Part B = 3,4:1 (by volume)

Beware of condensation.
The substrate and uncured applied coating must be ≥ +3 °C above dew point.

The Product can be applied on substrates with a moisture content of ≤ 6 %.

The substrate must be visibly dry with no standing water.

The following test methods can be used to determine the substrate moisture content:

• Sika®-Tramex meter
• CM-measurement
• Oven-dry-method

• The product is formulated for fast curing.
• Material in opened containers must be applied immediately. 
• Pot life will decrease at higher temperatures and increase at lower temperatures.

Note: Apply an additional coat if more than 24 hours is exceeded before applying other products.

Times are approximate and will be affected by film thickness and changing ambient conditions particularly temperature and relative humidity.

These figures are theoretical and do not allow for any additional material due to surface porosity, surface profile, variations in level, wastage or any other variations. Apply product to a test area to calculate the exact consumption for the specific substrate conditions and proposed application equipment.

IMPORTANT

Reference must be made to the Sika Method Statement: Sika® Concrete Primer LO.

Concrete / cementitious

• The substrate must be sound with a minimum tensile adhesion strength of 1,5 N/mm², clean, dry and free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings, laitance, surface treatments and loose friable material.
• New concrete must be cured for at least 10 days.
• Substrates must be prepared mechanically using appropriate substrate preparation equipment to remove cement laitance and achieve an open textured gripping surface profile suitable for the product thickness.
• High spots can be removed by grinding.
• Weak cementitious substrates must be removed and surface defects such as blow holes and voids must be fully exposed.
• Repairs to the substrate, filling of joints, blowholes/voids and surface levelling must be carried out using appropriate products from the Sikafloor®, Sikadur® and Sikagard® range of materials. Products must be cured before applying Sika® Concrete Primer LO.
• Remove dust by industrial vacuuming equipment.

Glazed tiles

1. Make sure all tiles are securely fixed.
2. Replace or fix any broken, loose or missing tiles.
3. Remove glaze mechanically using appropriate substrate preparation equipment.

4. Thoroughly clean the surface by power washing and allow to dry.

IMPORTANT

Over mixing must be avoided to minimise
air entrainment.

Note:Use an electric single or double paddle mixer (300–400 rpm) with a spiral paddle for mixing.

Note:Mix full units only.

1. Add Part B to Part A and mix Part A+B continuously for a minimum 3,0 minutes. 

Strictly follow installation procedures as defined in method statements, application manuals and working instructions which must always be adjusted to the actual site conditions.

1. Confirm product application conditions: substrate moisture content, substrate, air and product temperatures, relative humidity and dew point (Refer to Application Information).
2. Pour the mixed Product onto the surface. The consumption is specified in the Application Information.
3. Apply the Product evenly over the surface with a short-piled roller or brush.
4. Back roll the surface in two directions at right angles with a short-piled roller.
5. The primer must be continuous and pore free.

Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner C immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically or with a proprietary paint stripper.
