EVERBUILD® Lumberjack® 160 Woodbond

high specification, woodbond flooring adhesive

Lumberjack 160 is a high specification, trowel applied adhesive, based on resins in solvent and is specifically designed for fixing all types of wooden floors directly onto porous substrates.

  • Water free – will not cause warpage or curl of wood blocks/planks.
  • Rapid setting – Floors may normally be trafficked 12-24 hours after application.
 
  • Will bond wood directly to all common porous subfloors including concrete, wood and porous natural stone floors.
  • Suitable for use with underfloor heating.
  • Easy application by trowel.
  • High strength adhesive.
Base Resin/Solvent Blend Viscosity: (HBDVII+/S70/10rpm) 50,000-70000 cP Temperature resistance -40 to +80°C Trafficability/Sandability  on new floors 12 -24 hours after fixing Minimum Screed requirements 28 days maturing and max 2.5% moisture content before using this adhesive. For moisture contents at 2.5-7%, use in conjunction with SikaBond DPM Rapid. Do not use this product above these recommended moisture levels.

Usage

For fixing all types of wooden floors directly onto porous substrates.

Shelf Life

24 months from date of manufacture when stored as directed.  

Storage Conditions

Store in cool, dry conditions between +5 and +25˚C as Flammable goods away from all sources of ignition. Ensure good ventilation.  Storage outside these parameters will dramatically reduce shelf life. Opened tins must be closed airtight and used up as soon as possible (within 1 month).

Slight skins of product may form on prolonged standing. Simply remove and dispose of prior to use.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The surfaces to be glued must be porous, sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.  Existing floors/chipboard must be free from all polish/wax.  New concrete must be allowed 4 weeks to dry and mature. Always check moisture level of subfloor. If moisture levels in subfloor are above those recommended by the flooring manufacturer, damp proof the floor with at least two coats of SikaBond DPM Rapid as directed. (See Important Considerations section), then prime with EVERBUILD PVA BOND (diluted 1:3 PVA: water) and screed with a minimum 3mm depth EVERBUILD 710 FEBFLOR SELF LEVEL FLEXIPLUS whilst primer is tacky. POROUS SUBSTRATES: Before applying this adhesive, all surfaces should first be primed with EVERBUILD PVA BOND diluted 1:5 with water and allowed to dry. Basement/below ground floors must be adequately protected with a D.P.C. Under floor heating must be turned off 48 hours before and 48 hours after the adhesive has been applied. NON POROUS SURFACES: Not suitable for direct application. Prime (1:3 water: EVERBUILD PVA BOND) and screed with a minimum 3mm depth of EVERBUILD 710 FEBFLOR SELF LEVEL FLEXIPLUS whilst primer is tacky. Allow to cure for 24 hours (or until dry, whichever is longer) then proceed as per porous surfaces. FLOORING: The wood flooring MUST be acclimatised for several days in the room where it is to be installed. Leave in original packaging during this period.
