PREMIUM HYBRID WOOD FLOOR ADHESIVE

EVERBUILD® Lumberjack® 550 Floor Adhesive is a high specification, hybrid polymer, cartridge or foil pack applied adhesive specially designed for fixing all types of wooden floors directly onto all common substrates. EVERBUILD® Lumberjack® 550 Floor Adhesive has the following key benefits: water free, will not cause warpage of wood, rapid setting, permanently flexible, suitable for use with underfloor heating, excellent acoustic properties.

  • Water free - will not cause warpage or curl of wood blocks/planks.
  • Permanently flexible – compensates for subfloor movement.
  • Will bond wood directly to all common subfloors, e.g. concrete, wood, metal, ceramic tile, vinyl, marble, granite and most natural stone floors.
  • Suitable for use with underfloor heating (due to high flexibility)
  • Excellent gap filling properties for uneven surfaces

Usage

Shelf Life

12 months from date of manufacture when stored as directed.

Storage Conditions

Store in cool, dry conditions between +5 and +25˚C. Ensure good ventilation. Storage outside these parameters will dramatically reduce shelf life. Opened packaging must be closed airtight and used up as soon as possible (within 1 month).

Substrate Moisture Content

28 days maturing and max 3% moisture content before using this adhesive. For moisture contents at 3.1-7%, use in conjunction with SikaBond DPM Rapid and moisture barrier. Do not use this product above these recommended moisture levels.

30 mins at 23°C and 50% RH

Consumption

One 300ml Cartridge will bond approximately 1m2 of flooring when applied as directed.

One 600ml sausage will bond approximately 2m2 of flooring when applied as directed.
Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The surfaces to be glued must be sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease and other contaminants.  Existing floors must be free from all polish/wax.  Prime/stabilise friable concrete/anhydrite and floors with residual adhesive with SikaBond DPM Rapid before application. New concrete must be allowed 4 weeks to dry and mature. Always check moisture level of subfloor - if moisture levels in subfloor are above those recommended by the flooring manufacturer, damp proof the floor with at least two coats of SikaBond DPM Rapid as directed. (See Important Considerations section).  Chipboard must be free of release agents/wax. Very porous or friable surfaces should first be primed with SikaBond DPM Rapid and allowed to dry. Basement/below ground floors must be adequately protected with a D.P.C and two coats of SikaBond DPM Rapid applied as directed. Under floor heating must be turned off 48 hours before and 48 hours after the adhesive has been applied.

 

FLOORING: The parquet flooring MUST be acclimatized for several days in the room where it is to be installed. Leave in original packaging during this period.
