EVERBUILD EXACT GAP FOAM®

Minimal expansion foam for precision gap filling

EVERBUILD EXACT GAP FOAM® has been formulated to provide a more precise foam product that modestly fills voids, with a fresh foam can expanding by approx. 130 %. The controlled application significantly reduces the amount of cured excess foam that has to be cut back afterwards, the waste disposal of which can be difficult on some sites. This controlled expansion also reduces the danger of wet foam falling onto the floor and surrounding substrates. Also ideal for applications where it is important not to impact too much stress onto the item being installed.

  • Re-usability – canister may easily be re-used again.

Usage

Filling:
  • Roof tile voids and draught points around the home.
  • Gaps around pipe entries through walls.
  • Gaps around window frames, door frames.
  • Electrical wire chasing prior to plastering.
  • Deep joints prior to applying sealant or plaster.
  • Gaps and cracks in walls and floorboards.
Insulating:
  • Behind cladding to exterior walls.
  • Behind soffit and barge boards.

Shelf Life

15 months in original containers at stated storage temperatures.

Storage Conditions

Store upright between 20 and 25 °C in a pressurized container. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above 50 °C. Do not pierce or burn the can even after use. Store as flammable liquid.

Note: Elevated temperatures will reduce shelf life dramatically.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

Ensure all surfaces are clean, sound and free from dust and loose particles. Moisten surfaces to be sealed with water. This assists the curing process.

 

APPLICATION

Shake can well before use (about 20 times). Fix nozzle applicator. ALWAYS USE WITH CAN UPSIDE DOWN. Fill the cavity just less than full as the foam will expand slightly to fill the remaining space. Any excess foam can be removed whilst still wet with EVERBUILD® DUAL PURPOSE FOAM.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Nozzle and valve tip should be cleaned with EVERBUILD® DUAL PURPOSE FOAM CLEANER before the foam cures. Once cured, foam must be removed by mechanical means with a knife or scraper.
