Get the best results by following these simple steps to prepare your surface for a flawless render finish.
Why Render Your Walls?
Rendering is more than just a cosmetic upgrade. It:
- Protects your walls from moisture and weather damage
- Improves thermal insulation
- Gives your property a fresh, modern look
- Increases overall home value
But a great render finish starts with excellent surface preparation.
Before you start, give the Rendagrip® container a good stir to ensure the product is well mixed.
Use a short pile roller or brush to apply a single coat evenly over the surface. The red colour helps you see where you’ve applied it, no missed spots!
Cover any nearby surfaces to prevent splashes. If any Rendagrip® does get onto unwanted areas, clean it off before it dries using warm, soapy water.
Allow the Rendagrip® to dry completely before applying your render. Drying usually takes at least 6 hours but be aware that colder temperatures can extend this time.
What is Rendagrip?
Rendagrip is a specially formulated, ready-to-use bonding agent designed to improve the adhesion of render to tricky surfaces. It’s uniquely pigmented red, so you can easily see where it’s applied, ensuring no spots are missed.
Pro Tip:
For best adhesion, ensure the surface is clean and dry before applying Rendagrip®. Proper drying is key to a strong, lasting bond.
Make sure you have Rendagrip on your checklist, it’s the essential first step for a flawless, long-lasting render.
