Richard Aldred, Head of Compliance and Technical Services - Roofing has been announced as LRWA new Director to the board.
Richard began his roofing career straight from school. He worked in contracting for D. W Tilley Limited, before joining the British Army and serving during the conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan for 5 years before moving into roofing manufacturing, where he has been for the past 14 years.
Richard currently manages the Roofing Technical Team, who produce specifications, technical information and give advice on best roofing practice. He is an active member of the LRWA (Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association) roofing technical community and often contributes toward technical discussion and debate in a variety of forums.
It is necessary for an association to have a good quality governing body which comprises those who are recognised both inside and outside the industry as leaders. A governing body should be comprised of member representatives.
The LRWA Board of Directors (governing body) comprises of the following:
- Four director positions representing manufacturer members
- Two director positions representing contractor members
- One director position representing associate members
