Sika® Antisol® MP-10

Curing agent for fresh and hardened concrete surfaces

Sika® Antisol® MP-10 is a solvent-free wax emulsion which creates a protective film on the concrete surface.

Sika® Antisol® MP-10 is a highly effective solvent-free wax emulsion and creates, after drying, a largely water vapour impermeable protective film on the concrete surface. This promotes:
  • Blocking the surface pores of the concrete
  • Reduction of water evaporation
  • Protection against dessication
  • Reduction in shrinkage cracking
  • Improved durability in the concrete surface.
The protective layer formed will degrade over time and with mechanical intervention. It must be fully removed if a subsequent covering requires adhesion to the concrete surface.

Usage

Sika® Antisol® MP-10 is a liquid curing compound reducing evaporation from exposed surfaces of fresh and hardened concrete. Sika® Antisol® MP-10 is suitable for:
  • Concrete for traffic areas e.g. Roads, airfields and external paving.
  • Screed
  • Horizontal concrete surfaces without subsequent coating
  • Vertical concrete surfaces without subsequent coating
  • Use in higher ambient temperatures, strong sunlight, wind movement as well as in low humidity

APPROVALS / STANDARDS

Sika® Antisol® MP-10 complies with the "Technical delivery conditions for liquefied concrete curing agents" TL NBM-StB 09.

Average Curing Efficiency of Sika® Antisol® MP-10 88% at 150g/m2 when tested to TL NBM-StB 96 with a slip resistance ≥50 (Average 56).

Water Loss 0.4kg/m2 when tested to ASTM C 309 at 150g/m2.

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Product not suitable for application to surfaces below +1°C.

Immediately after finishing the surface, spray on Sika® Antisol® MP-10 evenly and with full coverage. The sooner the application is executed, the more effective the protection is. Remove puddles and pools of water before processing. A fresh curing film appears on the surface initially as white; different application thicknesses can lead to stain formations. Additional curing activities are required with very high or low temperatures. A comprehensive, no residue removal of the protective film by e.g. steam jetting or good brushing is necessary when a subsequent application of concrete, mortar, plaster, composite screed, construction adhesives, paint-type material etc. is to be executed. Stir thoroughly or shake before use after prolonged storage. Avoid contamination, ensure spray nozzles and equipment are thoroughly cleaned after use to prevent blockages.
