High-performance flooring products have been shortlisted.

Sika’s high-performance flooring products have been shortlisted in this year’s Contract Flooring Association (CFJ/CFA) Awards, following an outstanding refurbishment of a London TV studio.

The project on behalf of international news broadcaster CNN is a finalist in this year’s ‘Flooring in Industrial Spaces’ category. The winners of each category will be announced Friday, 11th September by video and hosted by professional snooker player, John Parrott.

For the CNN studio floor refurbishment at the UK HQ in Shoreditch, London, Sikafloor supplied the high-quality flooring system – Sikafloor® MultiDur ES-24 ECF – that resulted in the studio being furnished with a super-flat, super-smooth
waterproof surface to uphold operations at one of the world’s most-watched news services.

Sika, in conjunction with Zircon Flooring Limited, delivered a durable resin-based anti-static floor with a tolerance of +/-1mm over a 3-metre straight edge, a reading which far exceeds the British Standard. Sika's flooring system was more than capable of ensuring the required outcome was achieved.

"We are looking forward to this year’s event and we are proud to be a part of it, even though everyone will be attending virtually. The CFJ/CFA Awards are respected throughout the industry and we thrilled to be recognised as a finalist, especially in such challenging times for the industry. This was a true joint effort, with Zircon making wonderful use of our high-performance flooring solutions, and our excellent working relationship with Zircon Flooring was key to its success for being shortlisted among the finalists in this esteemed award, is a great achievement.
