SikaControl® WT-250 P

Water resisting and crystalline waterproofing concrete admixture

SikaControl® WT-250 P is a combined water resisting, crystalline waterproofing admixture. By forming non-soluble materials throughout the concrete's pore and capillary structure, the product seals the concrete permanently against penetration of water and other liquids. It also enhances the self-healing and crack-healing properties of concrete.

DoC 40656248, certified by Factory Production Control Body 0120 and provided with the UKCA mark
DoP 88241230, certified by Factory Production Control Body 1029 and provided with the CE mark

Regulation 31 - DWI:  SikaControl® WT-250 P complies with DWI requirements as it does not contain chemicals other than those given in the “List of Authorised Cement Admixture Components” in Annex 2, Section 2.4 of Regulation 31 of The Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016.  As  per Advice Sheet 7, no further testing is required and no extra approval can be issued for this product, if used within the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Concrete Mix Design

GGBS and other supplementary cementitious content should be limited to 75 % of total binder.

Minimum binder content

350 kg/m3

Maximum water : binder ratio

0.45

SikaControl® WT-250 P contains a superplasticiser, so additional plasticiser dosage should be adjusted to achieve the correct workability.

The Product can be combined with other Sika products.

Always conduct trials before combining different products. Contact your local Sika technical service for information.

DISPENSING

  • Forced action and truck mixers should be free from all contaminants prior to the batching of concrete containing SikaControl® WT-250 P
  • SikaControl® WT-250 P should be added to the mixer at the recommended dose (2 bags per m3) prior to the batching of concrete
  • Concrete should be mixed in the truck mixer/agitator on full revolutions for a minimum of 5 minutes to ensure that the optimum consistence has been achieved.
  • Water/biner ratio and consistence control remains the responsibility of the concrete producer. Laboratory trials are recommended to evaluate and confirm the actual water reduction.
