Colinsburgh
A Sika render solution was specified by Kirkwood Homes for use on a new development of 35 luxury homes, located in the picturesque village of Colinsburgh in East Fife. The Paddocks is an intimate development of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes which have been completed with our new one coat dash receiver to help save on application time when applying the Sika dry dash render finish to the facades.
SikaWall®-571 One Coat Dash Receiver is cement-based and formulated to deliver superior performance in just one coat. Available in a choice of White, Magnolia, Cream or Grey, it can be applied by hand or pump and is through coloured for a consistent colour and texture.
For this project, the SikaWall®-571 One Coat Dash Receiver was supplied in White, with Nordic White and Beige Marble dry dash aggregate applied evenly to the receiver coat. Parex® Parmurex finishing coat render was then used to create the smooth banding feature around some of the windows and doors which were painted a buff colour to complement the dry dash facades. Kirkwood Homes commented: “We were pleased with the product support Sika provided when finalising our specification to meet the requirements for this new development and our application team were very happy with the results”.
