7. Underground Construction
N.B. When designing a basement please refer to the British Standard BS8102:2022 for guidance. Please note underground modular construction for waterproofing is considered high risk according to the British Standard.
Pre-applied: Sheet membrane SikaProof® A is applied already in the factory before reinforcement and concrete. The benefit is an efficient process, especially on-site, where only the joints have to be sealed (less time consuming)
Post-applied: Adhered SikaProof® P, SikaBit® S sheet membranes are applied on-site when the elements are set
