FAQ
Ensure substrate moisture is ≤ 4 % pbw, ambient and substrate temperatures are between +10 °C and +30 °C, and the surface is free of rising moisture. Overcoating intervals vary (e.g., 12–24 hours at +20 °C). Protect freshly applied floors from damp or condensation for at least 24 hours to prevent finish defects.
The system structure varies depending on traffic and wear but often comprises a scratch or primer coat, quartz sand broadcast, and a wearing top coat. Nominal thickness is around 2‑3 mm for typical use, extending to 5‑6 mm in more demanding scenarios.
Key attributes include slip resistance (rated to R11‑V4 or R12‑V6 depending on broadcast), chemical and mechanical durability, waterproofing capability, slick gloss appearance, and easy to clean surface. It supports interior and exterior usage on suitable substrates.
This flooring system is appropriate for concrete and cementitious screeds with normal to medium‑heavy wear. Typical settings include multi‑storey and underground car parks, loading ramps, garages, storage halls, assembly areas, and wet process zones in food & beverage production.
Sikafloor MultiDur EB‑10 is a slip‑resistant, rigid, coloured epoxy flooring system designed for demanding environments. It is based on epoxy resin, complies with OS 8 German standards, and provides a durable gloss finish that resists mechanical and chemical stress, making it suitable for heavy traffic floors such as car parks, workshops, and ramps.
