Anchors play a vital role in ensuring the safety and durability of modern construction — securing structural elements, fixings, and reinforcements to concrete, masonry, and other substrates. Whether you’re installing handrails, dowelling rebar, or fixing heavy equipment, the right anchoring solution must provide dependable load performance, fast installation, and long-term resistance to environmental and mechanical stresses.
The Sika Anchorfix® range offers reliable, high-performance anchoring solutions for fixing bolts, threaded rods, rebar, and other mechanical fixings into concrete, masonry, and hollow substrates. Designed for demanding construction environments, it delivers excellent load capacity, rapid curing, and consistent performance — even at low temperatures.
What Are Anchors?
Chemical anchors (sometimes called bonded anchors) are systems that use a two-part resin adhesive to fix threaded rods, rebar or bolts into a drilled hole. Once the resin hardens, it forms a powerful bond between the steel and the base material, transferring loads safely and securely.
They’re perfect when:
You need high load performance
You’re working close to edges or with thin concrete
The substrate is cracked or uneven
You want durable, long-term results with minimal risk of damage to the structure
Why choose Sika Anchorfix®
Fast curing to speed up installation and reduce downtime
High load capacity with ETA approvals available
Non-sag consistency for overhead applications
Styrene-free and low odour for safer, cleaner use
Suitable for use in low ambient temperatures
Excellent bond strength in cracked and uncracked concrete for long-term performance

Free Sika AnchorFix® Calculation Software
Sika AnchorFix® Calculation Software for chemical anchors (threaded rods and rebars) is based on European and US standards and is available for free downloading. It has been developed as a user-friendly, professional design tool to provide an engineer with a state-of-the-art support:
- Design of anchors and post installed rebar connections
- Multiple languages (currently 10 available)
- 3D graphic is a visual aid built from all user inputs
- Metric and fractional (imperial) system units
- Upgradeable via Internet Connection
Sika AnchorFix® software considers the American code for anchoring (ACI 318-08, -11 & -14) and the European design code TR029 for anchoring with threaded rods and rebars and TR023 for post installed rebar connections.
The software is split into 2 Modules and is available to make calculations according to the following design standards:
Anchor calculation module
- EOTA TR029 for design using an ETA according to EAD 330499-00-0601
- TR045 for seismic design using an ETA according to EAD 330499-00-0601
- ACI318-08 for design using an IAPMO/ICC-ES report (IBC 2009)
- ACI318-11 for design using an IAPMO/ICC-ES report (IBC 2012)
- ACI318-14 for design using an IAPMO/ICC-ES report (IBC 2015)
Rebar connection module
- EOTA TR023 for rebar connection design using a TR023 ETA

Sika Chemical Anchoring Adhesive Volume Calculator App
Before installing chemical anchors, it is necessary to calculate the amount of material one needs for a job site. If you run out of cartridges during application of threaded rods or rebar, it is helpful to avoid losing time unnecessarily. Additionally, defining the required amounts beforehand can minimise material waste.
To support the calculation process, Sika has developed a volume calculator mobile application. Based on the below parameters, the app defines the required number of cartridges (in all available cartridges), and it also provides the required quantity per one anchor:
- Substrate in which the anchor will be installed (concrete or solid / hollow masonry)
- Anchor type (threaded rod or rebar)
- Hole diameter
- Embedment depth
- Number of anchors
The App is available in the following languages:
- Arabic
- Bosnian
- Czech
- English
- German
