Fixing and anchors are essential for reliable concrete repair, refurbishment, and structural strengthening. From chemical anchors to rigid bonding systems and structural anchoring solutions, our products allow contractors to create secure, durable connections in infrastructure, balconies, car parks, and more.
At Sika, we offer a comprehensive portfolio of fixing solutions designed to meet the needs of contractors working on a wide range of infrastructure projects. From high-performance chemical anchors for demanding, high-load applications to rigid bonding systems that securely connect reinforcement and plates, and structural anchoring solutions for critical load paths, our products provide reliable performance in ageing concrete assets.
Our systems are engineered to handle the challenges commonly faced in bridges, car parks, tunnels, balconies, and other concrete structures. They allow contractors to install anchors and bonded connections safely, efficiently, and with confidence, even in edge-critical or closely spaced applications.

Why Fixings and Anchors Matter
The performance of any concrete repair or strengthening project depends on the integrity of its fixings.
Correctly specified fixing and anchors:
Types of Fixing and Anchoring Solutions
Application - Fixing of Structural Elements
Application - Fixing of Non-Structural Elements
Chemical Anchors
Chemical anchors are a cornerstone of reliable concrete repair and structural strengthening. Unlike traditional mechanical anchors, chemical anchors rely on resin embedding to secure rods or bolts in the substrate, reducing the risk of cracking and providing superior load-bearing capacity.
They are ideal for contractors working in challenging conditions such as cracked or edge-critical concrete, close spacing applications, or where high structural loads must be transferred.
Fixing and Rigid Bonding
Rigid bonding is a traditional bonding method where adhesive is applied to the surface of substrates that are then pressed together, and after time the two objects are strong and rigidly fixed. The adhesive layer between the objects is thin and hard. Load, stress and movement are transferred directly.
Rigid bonding is recommended when bonding very similar materials that are not subjected to cyclic stress. Typical rigid adhesives are hard epoxy as well as water or solvent based products.
Structural Anchoring
Structural anchoring systems are essential for securing critical elements in concrete repair and strengthening projects. They provide reliable load transfer and long-term durability for applications such as balustrades, guardrails, post-installed reinforcement, and heavy equipment supports.
These systems allow contractors to complete installations safely and efficiently while ensuring the structural integrity of the repaired or strengthened asset.
