This year’s RICS Awards, the country’s premier property and construction event, has shortlisted the Wilmcote House retrofit project in both its Design Through Innovation, and Regeneration categories for the south-east region. The awards showcase inspirational initiatives and developments in land, real estate, construction and infrastructure.

The regeneration of Wilmcote House, an 11-storey development, addressed resident issues of fuel poverty by reducing home heating demand and consumption by 90%. Sika Monotop®, a high-performance concrete repair and protection range, and Sika Galvashield® XPT, an innovative anode system, were used in the restoration, designed by ECD Architects.

"We’re delighted to be nominated for such a prestigious industry award. Congratulations and thank-you to all those who helped us achieve the shortlisting. It’s a great accolade" Nic Collins, Area Manager at Sika Refurbishment

Category winners will be announced at the RICS south-east region awards night, which is being held on Wednesday, May 9th at the Kassam Stadium, Oxford.
