Sika was ‘Highly Commended’ by judges for its involvement in the successful redevelopment of 80 Charlotte Street in central London. Sika supplied its CarboDur® structural strengthening plates and Sikadur®-30 adhesive, as well as design and on-site support for the project, which included integrating a 1960s Royal Mail depot with a neighbouring property. The buildings were combined to create a single development containing offices, apartments, retail and a new public park.

"The commendation is a fantastic achievement for all those involved in the Charlotte Street project. It’s a great development, and one we are particularly proud to have been involved in. Our Sika CarboDur® structural strengthening system was ideal for the Post Office’s refurbishment, with our technical teams’ expertise being available throughout the design and installation phases to guarantee the project’s timely, high-quality completion. Congratulations to them and the development team behind our innovative Sika CarboDur® solution." John Baron, Business Unit Manager, Specialist Construction Solutions

Sika received its Highly Commended recognition CRA Repair & Refurbishment Award at the Concrete Society Awards ceremony held on Wednesday, November 17th at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.
