Sika Roofing is proud to announce that its team, the Sika Wolf Pack, has won the Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association’s (LRWA) Annual Charity Team Challenge for the third year running. The event, which ran from 24th June to 12th July 2024, brought together teams from across the industry to raise funds for LandAid, a charity dedicated to ending youth homelessness.
The LRWA Charity Team Challenge, now in its fifth year, invites teams of up to ten people to walk, run, cycle, or swim as far as they can in 30 minutes to achieve the highest number of kilometres. This year’s challenge saw enthusiastic participation, with 170 individuals forming 20 teams. Collectively, participants covered a total distance of 1,115 kilometres and raised more than £5,800 for LandAid.
LandAid focuses on providing safe, secure, and affordable accommodation for young people across the UK, and Sika Roofing is honoured to support such a vital cause. The Sika Wolf Pack excelled in this year’s challenge, earning the top gold award for the third consecutive year. Notably, Jonathan Shum from Sika clocked the highest number of kilometres on an outdoor bike, while Max Colligan from Sika ran the longest distance among all participants.
Sika will officially receive the charity challenge trophy at the annual LRWA Awards and Gala in March 2025.
"We are incredibly proud of the Sika Wolf Pack for their outstanding performance and dedication to such a worthy cause. Their hard work and determination reflect Sika’s core values of teamwork and community support." Cheryl Douglas - Head of Marketing, Roofing UK
