Green Blue Roofs

A green–blue roof is a hybrid roofing system that combines the benefits of a green roof (vegetation, soil layers, biodiversity and insulation) with those of a blue roof (temporary water storage and controlled drainage) to create a multifunctional, sustainable roof system.
 

A Green Blue Roof combines Sika® RetentionRoof Water Retention Boxes (Geocells) with a Sika® NatureRoof Green Roof to create a Green Blue roof over either a SikaShield® 2 Layer Reinforced Bitumen Membrane Warm Roof or SikaShield® Hot Melt Inverted Warm Roof.

Typically used in new build construction, Sika® Green Blue Roofs are also suitable for retrofit/ refurbishment applications with all systems specified with BBA Certification.

When installed by a Sika® Verified or Certified Roofing Contractor with Sika® NatureRoof Registered Contractors the project will be eligible for a comprehensive Sika® System Guarantee.
