Sika and the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI)
At Sika, providing reliable and transparent product information is a priority. As part of this commitment, we have adopted the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI), a framework designed to ensure that all construction product details are clear, accurate, up-to-date, accessible, and unambiguous. Our ongoing compliance, including a successful two-year reassessment, reflects our dedication to supporting informed decisions across the construction industry.
Sika adopted the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) early in its rollout. The Code was introduced following Dame Judith Hackitt’s review into Building Regulations and Fire Safety and developed by the Construction Product Association’s Marketing Integrity Group. Its purpose is to ensure that product information provided by manufacturers is: Clear, Accurate, Up-to-date, Accessible, and Unambiguous.
Our Commitment and Assessment
Sika has successfully completed CCPI assessment for four roofing product sets:
- Single Ply Roof Systems
- Hot Melt Structural Waterproofing
- Liquid-applied Roof Systems
- Reinforced Bituminous Roof Systems
These assessments were first achieved in September 2023 and have now been reassessed after two years, confirming continued compliance with the Code.
What CCPI Covers
The Code includes 11 clauses addressing:
- Responsibility for product information
- Transparency of performance
- Proof of stated claims
- Competency in managing product data
All product information must meet the five CCPI principles: Clear, Accurate, Up-to-date, Accessible, and Unambiguous.
Why this matters
By maintaining CCPI compliance, Sika provides independent assurance that its product information is reliable and verifiable. This supports informed decision-making for specifiers, contractors, and clients.
"Our commitment to the Code for Construction Product Information remains strong. In 2023 we achieved CCPI assessment for four roofing product sets, and in 2025 we have successfully completed our two-year reassessment. This confirms that the information we provide continues to meet the Code’s principles of being clear, accurate, up-to-date, accessible, and unambiguous. Maintaining compliance is essential for transparency and trust, and we will continue to work proactively with CCPI to uphold these standards." Gavin White – Head of Product Management - Roofing
