SikaProof® Adhesive-02

2-part, cement-modified adhesive for use with the SikaProof® A+ waterproofing system

SikaProof® Adhesive-02 is a 2-part, cement-modified adhesive. It is part of the SikaProof® A+ System and is used to post-apply the SikaProof® A+ membrane to the existing reinforced concrete structure.

Usage

SikaProof® Adhesive-02 is used for:
  • Bonding the SikaProof® A+ 08 or SikaProof® A+ 12 waterproofing membrane to an exisiting reinforced concrete structure to form a fully-bonded membrane waterproofing system
Please note:
  • The Product may only be used by experienced professionals.

Storage Conditions

The Product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between +5 °C and +30 °C. Always refer to packaging.

Application steps

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

IMPORTANT

Strictly follow installation procedures

Strictly follow installation procedures as defined in Method Statements, application manuals and working instructions which must always be adjusted to the actual site conditions.

Prepare the substrate and prime it with SikaProof® Primer-02.

MIXING

IMPORTANT

Mix only full units of part A and part B

  1. Shake part A (white liquid) until the liquid is homogenous.
  2. Pour part A into the mixing container.
  3. IMPORTANT Mix using an electric mixer (≥ 500 rpm) with helical paddle. While mixing add approximately 3/4 of part B (powder).
  4. Mix for 1 minute.
  5. Add the remainder of part B.
  6. Continue mixing for 3 minutes until a uniform and lump-free mix is achieved.

APPLICATION

IMPORTANT

Risk of improper bonding

Observe the pot life of the Product. The open time is reduced when applying the Product at high temperatures or in windy conditions.

  1. Apply the SikaProof® A+ 08 or SikaProof® A+ 12 membrane as soon as possible after applying the Product.
  2. Take precautionary measures when applying the Product in high temperatures or windy conditions.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.
