Amber Vista, Cardiff

A major redevelopment to a 1960s shopping parade located in Lakeside, Cardiff has been completed with the help of Sika Historic KL pointing mortar, used during the installation of the brick cladding system for the exterior facades.

Silver Crescent appointed Pentan Architects to refurbish the existing structure and create nine high-end retail spaces and twenty-seven luxurious apartments, with an additional two storey roof extension. Sika Historic KL mortar, specified in a natural colour, was applied to the vertical and horizontal joints of the MechSlip brick cladding system, and perfectly complements the light honey tones of the Marzial bricks. The modern, visually striking façades blend the new and existing structures, whilst also enhancing the local neighbourhood.
