Project Spotlights

Circular wash-water recycling process

Sika has introduced a circular wash-water recycling process that returns admixture flushings back into production at our Welwyn Garden City plant, reducing freshwater demand. Since launching the initiative in March 2025, the team has already reprocessed more than 358,000 litres of wastewater, cutting both water consumption and waste-handling costs.

Sikalastic-625 BMS

The product was development by our R&D team using biomass balanced and biobased raw materials, achieving a 35% reduction in carbon footprint (cradle-to-gate assessment) compared to Sikalastic-625N and supporting our customers in lowering the embodied carbon emissions in their projects.

Sustainable Energy Progress

In 2025, 90% of our electricity demand was met through renewable energy sources, including 127 MWh generated onsite via solar panels at our Leeds facility. We continue to procure certified REGO-backed renewable electricity as we work toward covering our full Scope 2 emissions in the UK in the future.

Looking Ahead

Sika’s near and long-term emissions reduction targets to reach net-zero by 2050. -30.4% is the combined emission reduction target for Scope 1, 2 and 3
