Sika’s Parex Monorex GM Render has been specified for a new collection of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes, located off Bay View Road in Northam, Devon.
Designed and built by Bovis Homes, a Vistry Group company, the contemporary properties feature bright white and pastel-coloured renders that overlook Barnstaple Bay and the North Devon coastline. Meeting local demand and including 28 affordable homes, it was vital to use a high-quality render to provide both a protective and decorative finish to the properties.
Sika’s Parex Monorex GM is a through coloured, one coat, semi-lightweight render. Weather resistant and breathable, the render provides a durable solution to ensure the homes will maintain their clean, bright appearance for many years to come.
The Plymouth-based applicator company, Richard Brown Plastering Contractors Ltd, applied the render to the blockwork substrates using mechanical spray equipment, to provide a faster and more consistent application. Ben Brown, Director for Richard Brown Plastering Contractors Ltd commented: “Having worked on Phase 1 of this Bay View development, we were delighted to be awarded Phase 2 and meet the planning and specification requirements with the Sika Render. We have used Sika Renders for many years due its smooth and workable consistency that cures to a quality finish.”
Local distributor, The Encon Group, who supplied the Sika Render from their depot in Plymouth also helped to support the applicators on this project by providing fast and reliable delivery of the Sika Parex Monorex GM render to site, meeting all scheduling requirements.
